Zoe Diving was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves to experience the underwater world with confidence and competence. Based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, we've spent years helping divers at every level discover what lies beneath the surface.
Our approach is straightforward — thorough training, patient instruction, and an unwavering commitment to safety. We don't rush through certifications. We build divers who understand the environment, trust their equipment, and leave every dive better than they arrived.
We're not a franchise. We're a local team of certified instructors who take this seriously — because the ocean doesn't forgive shortcuts.
We keep our student-to-instructor ratios low. You're not a number in a crowd — you're a diver we're responsible for, and we treat you that way.
Life doesn't pause for certification. We work around yours — weekday evenings, weekends, and private sessions that fit your actual calendar.
Our confined water training uses the clear lakes of North Idaho, while open water dives take you to some of the world's most rewarding dive sites.
Every lesson follows established safety protocols. We review procedures, check equipment together, and never rush a skill until it's solid.
Whether you've never been in a pool with a regulator or you're a seasoned diver looking to specialize, we meet you exactly where you are.
Full gear rental available, plus pre-dive briefings, skill reviews, and ongoing support long after your certification is in your pocket.
A glimpse into what our students experience — from training dives to adventure expeditions.
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Yes — basic swimming ability is required for all certification courses. You'll need to demonstrate comfort in the water, including floating and swimming short distances. If you're nervous about your swimming, talk to us first. We can help you build confidence before training begins.
Most students complete the Open Water Diver course in 3–5 days, depending on pace and scheduling. The program includes online or classroom knowledge development, confined water skill sessions, and four open water dives. Private lessons can be scheduled on your own timeline.
PADI Junior Open Water certifications begin at age 10, with depth restrictions that ease as the diver gains experience. Full Open Water certification is available at age 15 and older. We also offer introductory programs for younger students in controlled environments.
Not at all. We provide all training equipment including tanks, regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits. We recommend purchasing a mask, fins, and snorkel for personal use, but everything else is covered during your course.
Scuba diving is one of the safest recreational sports when practiced with proper training and adherence to safety procedures. Every lesson emphasizes safety protocols, equipment checks, and emergency procedures. We never rush training, and we encourage students to ask questions at every step.
Confined water training takes place at local lakes near Coeur d'Alene with excellent visibility and controlled conditions. Open water dives for certification may take place at nearby lakes or be arranged at recognized dive sites depending on the program and season.
